Song of the Day

     FINALLY!  Now, I never wake up in the morning and try to think to myself as to which band that deserves to be on the blog should get a song of the day.  I just listen to whatever song is in my head or whatever music I feel like hearing.  Unfortunately, one of my favorite bands, Sugarcult has still yet to have a song of the day!  That was just absurd to me.  Now here they are, with Stuck in America and they've officially popped their song of the day cherry.  Sugarcult is a band I've loved for years now and this song is definitely one of my favorites.  Let's see if these guys can get more than 1 now.  Green Day & Good Charlotte remain as the bands that I'm most shocked have not gotten a song of the day tally.

Song of the Day

     Gotta love some Mayday Parade.  I'm glad that today I went back to a more regular kind of song of the day.  Between Natasha Bedingfield & Living Colour, this wasn't a very momentous couple days for music, for me.  Today I went back to listening to music and this was my go to song.  One of my favorite songs from Mayday Parade, I Swear, This Time I Mean It, the 2nd time this fabulous song has been the song of the day.  Mayday Parade are unmatched when it comes to sparking emotions with their music, their lyrics just dig themselves into your psyche and never leave.  Whether it be a love song, a song about yearning for something more, a song with beautiful lyrics, an acoustic song, or just a song in general, I Swear, This Time I Mean It is one of the best for me.

Top 15 Favorite Songs by...SAY ANYTHING

     Say Anything was introduced to me while I was in high school and I have no problem saying that when it comes to my high school years, they were my most listened to band.  From their early stuff with Baseball, Menorah/Majora, to the albums at the time, ...Is a Real Boy & In Defense of the Genre.   I was obsessed with Max Bemis and the boys.  I saw them live in concert, which remains as my 2nd favorite concert I've ever been to.  I just could not get enough of this pop punk band from Los Angeles, California.  For the past couple years I have drifted away from them a bit, admittedly.  But it seems as though lately I've gotten back into them, regardless, they will always remain as a top favorite band of mine, hence why they're the 3rd band I've chosen to dedicate a top 15 favorite songs list to.  I have to say, I'm pretty psyched that they will be releasing a new album coming up in 2012.  Now then, as always, before we get to the top 15 songs.  He's a look at the batch of songs that I love, but couldn't quite crack the official list.  All My Friends, Baseball, But Better, The Church Channel, No Soul, Hate Everyone, This Is Fucking Ecstasy, Sorry, Dudes.  My Bad, We Killed It, In Defense of the Genre, That Is Why, People Like You Are Why People Like Me Exist, Died a Jew, Surgically Removing the Tracking Device, Belt, & About Falling.  Blink-182 was tough for me to narrow down, while A Day to Remember I found to be quite easy to determine a top 15.  Say Anything was a lot like Blink-182, I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down and there are quite a few honorable mentions I may end up regretting not including in this final list.  Ah well, time to see who actually DID make it!

Song of the Day

     Skillet really isn't a band I listen to often, not very much into the generic sound of bands like them that fit the same sound as so many other, as I call them, "radio friendly" rock bands.  Their song Hero is solid enough though, solid enough to be the song of the day on a day with little music, I guess.  It's fun to imitate his voice though.

Song of the Day

     This is easily the best Jew empowerment anthem I have ever heard.  This should replace that Dradle song as the signature Jewish song.  Died a Jew by Say Anything is clever and catchy and just plain old Jewtastic.  My people were slaves befoe yours invented hip-hop.  Look at that Jew pride!  I think I'm trying to set a record here for the most times saying "Jew" in one post, I can't help it, it's a fun little word.  Anyjew, I'm gonna go back to listening to this song now.

Song of the Day

     First off, happy Thanksgiving to all.  I love the holiday season so I'm ecstatic about this time of year.  I'm currently in the midst of a food coma while harboring a food baby as well, so this will be a short little post.  The song of the day honors shall be bestowed upon Fireworks by Plain White T's.  I'm a huge homer so I will of course point out that the guys from Plain White T's hail from Chicago.  I've always enjoyed their music and Fireworks is an awesome song I've loved for a number of reasons for a while now.

Song of the Day

     I must have listened to this song 3 times yesterday while working outside during my shifts of carts.  I came home last night and I listened to this song another 3 times.  I tweeted and texted a lyric from this song before drifting off into slumber land and when I awoke, it was still dancing across my mind.  It's only 8 o'clock in the morning, but I know Stranger by Secondhand Serenade is the song of the day.  It's the 2nd time it has received this prestigious honor and for good reason.  It's a beautiful song with resonating lyrics that stick with you.  I'm staring at perfection.  Take a look at me so you can see how beautiful you are.  It's really quite difficult to express just how much those lyrics mean to me.

      It's safe to say that this song has invaded my mind.  Just a couple days ago it was the song of the day and here it is again.  It's so damn catchy and I find it extremely difficult to listen to only once.  It just makes you want to dance, even the white kids.  There's a lyric in it that I failed to mention in the last write up.  I don't know if I'll make it, but watch how good I'll fake it.  Story of my life.  I may not know how things are going to end up and may be extremely nervous about everything, but you'll never know it.  I am phenomenal at bullshitting people and faking it.  Did I mention this song is really catchy?
