Top 15 Favorite Songs by...SAY ANYTHING

Say Anything was introduced to me while I was in high school and I have no problem saying that when it comes to my high school years, they were my most listened to band.  From their early stuff with Baseball, Menorah/Majora, to the albums at the time, ...Is a Real Boy & In Defense of the Genre.   I was obsessed with Max Bemis and the boys.  I saw them live in concert, which remains as my 2nd favorite concert I've ever been to.  I just could not get enough of this pop punk band from Los Angeles, California.  For the past couple years I have drifted away from them a bit, admittedly.  But it seems as though lately I've gotten back into them, regardless, they will always remain as a top favorite band of mine, hence why they're the 3rd band I've chosen to dedicate a top 15 favorite songs list to.  I have to say, I'm pretty psyched that they will be releasing a new album coming up in 2012.  Now then, as always, before we get to the top 15 songs.  He's a look at the batch of songs that I love, but couldn't quite crack the official list.  All My Friends, Baseball, But Better, The Church Channel, No Soul, Hate Everyone, This Is Fucking Ecstasy, Sorry, Dudes.  My Bad, We Killed It, In Defense of the Genre, That Is Why, People Like You Are Why People Like Me Exist, Died a Jew, Surgically Removing the Tracking Device, Belt, & About Falling.  Blink-182 was tough for me to narrow down, while A Day to Remember I found to be quite easy to determine a top 15.  Say Anything was a lot like Blink-182, I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down and there are quite a few honorable mentions I may end up regretting not including in this final list.  Ah well, time to see who actually DID make it!

Top 15 Favorite Songs by...A DAY TO REMEMBER

Yesterday I kicked off a new series of posts revealing my top 15 songs for a certain band.  Blink-182 kicked off the festivities and now today, we move on to another top band of mine, A Day to Remember.  The year 2011 has been that of A Day to Remember's for me.  A band I've known about for several years, but only a few random songs here and there.  Then What Separates Me from You was introduced to me and everything changed.  That album has become one of my favorite CDs of all-time.  A Day to Remember has some different sounding albums, meaning that their most recent one is pretty different than the early ones.  I always enjoyed that in a band, a sense of evolution and growth as musicians is good.  Of course, the top 15 songs of mine will follow after the jump, but here are the songs that just didn't quite make the cut.  2nd Sucks, You Be Tails, I'll Be Sonic, Welcome to the Family, Since U Been Gone, This is the House that Doubt Built, Over My Head (Cable Car), Out of Time, NJ Legion Iced Tea, Start the Shooting, & Mr. Highway's Thinking about the End.  Now then, time for the best of the best...

Top 15 Favorite Songs by...BLINK-182

Up very early today after going to sleep while the world was still buzzing.  I was listening to my iPod in bed and a new idea sparked in my mind.  I'm going to do a series of posts over the next couple weeks, tributes to my favorite bands as I list my top 15 songs by them.  I, of course, will begin with my favorite of them all, Blink-182 and their top 15.  My process is relatively simple.  I go to a list of all the band's songs and write down the song names into a Word document that I initially believe could be included in this type of list.  For Blink-182, I jotted down 72 songs in total from Buddha to Neighborhoods, that I ultimately trimmed down to a top 15.  Since I have always had a fondness for the underdog, I will of course reveal the honorable mentions.  For the honorable mentions in these lists, I'll simply state the next batch of songs, the 15 that didn't make it after the top guns.  For Blink-182, the songs that just missed the cut were Stay Together for the Kids, First Date, Going Away to College, Go, Easy Target, Dumpweed, Dammit, Everytime I Look For You, Josie, I Won't Be Home for Christmas, Natives, Aliens Exist, Apple Shampoo, Wishing Well, & What's My Age Again?.
