Plain White T's the band is from Chicago, which automatically makes them cool. I remember when this gem came out back in 2006 & I listened to it non-stop on Fuse, you know, back when Fuse was actually good. Saving the anti-Fuse rant for another day, I'll just go ahead & admit that I'll always dig this song. Not because the lyrics speak to me or any of that shit, I don't really relate to this song at all, I just think it's a good track.

Okay, after all the silliness of yesterday, I'm back to normal with a double song of the day. I have been listening to my iPod non-stop for the past 2 hours as I rearranged some stuff because that's what I do at 3 in the morning with a million things on my mind and I know I won't sleep. It's a good distraction, at the very least, it's constructive. Two songs have stood out to me. Hate (I Really Don't Like You) by Plain White T's & Growing Old by Parade the Day. Two vastly different tracks with different themes, but amazing nonetheless. It is almost a perfect combination of lyrics to match how I've been feeling lately. Life is going alright, but there is always going to be that underlying sense of disappointment with the way things have turned out and the way they'll continue to turn out. I never feel in control of my own life anymore and I've given up hope of ever being able to alter things the way I want anymore. I've accepted that I'm just going along for the ride and there's going to be a million bumps in the road for me. Hopefully it all leads to somewhere nice though. We'll see.

First off, happy Thanksgiving to all. I love the holiday season so I'm ecstatic about this time of year. I'm currently in the midst of a food coma while harboring a food baby as well, so this will be a short little post. The song of the day honors shall be bestowed upon Fireworks by Plain White T's. I'm a huge homer so I will of course point out that the guys from Plain White T's hail from Chicago.
