This is kind of why I'm happy my iPod got wiped out and I had to restore it.  It had gotten to the point, before, where I had to create playlists just to listen to my music.  I had to sift through all the funny and random songs on my iPod, now I just have the stuff I actually like.  Crazy notion, right?  I can just hit shuffle and enjoy all the kick-ass music.  This song came up randomly on a shuffle earlier and I must have listened to it 4 or 5 times in a row.  As is often the case with me, each day gets cut in half.  During the day, one song stands out, and then at night, another one does.  Brand New has been dominating my speakers the past few days and to be honest, Jude Law and a Semester Abroad could have been song of the day many many MANY times before this.  I like to post a line or two underneath each video; I could post the entire set of lyrics for this Brand New song.

This song, Overwhelmed by Tim McMorris, is a background song for a Sam Adams commercial.  I never pay attention to commercials, but hearing this song caught my attention.  I really like it a lot.  There's only 2 videos for this song on Youtube.  One of them is from McMorris himself, but has some annoying Audio Jungle voice repeating itself over and over throughout the song.  This video is apparently some anniversary video a guy made for his girl, so I'm just going to post it because it has the song itself without the annoyance.

A Look at the 2012 MLB All-Stars

I am such a nerd, I know this.  I adore debating all-stars for any given league.  There's always someone voted in who didn't deserve it, someone who shouldn't be starting, and someone who got snubbed.  It makes for spectacular debating and just a fun time for a super nerd like me.  With injuries, schedule conflicts, and just plain not wanting to play, look for a lot more guys to be added in over the next coming weeks.  Those guys trickling in usually make up for the snubs, but I always look at them as the back-up all-stars, not quite on the level of the guys originally voted on.  The guys I shall be talking about, that is.
