Song of the Day

     This is one of those songs of the day that was determined completely by emotions alone.  Wolf in Sheep's Clothing by This Providence is the epitome of how I feel at the moment.  I have a strong inane desire to despise and want to expose any and all frauds.  People who manipulate others so as to better further their own situations are some of the scummiest fucks in this world.  There are plenty of different types of manipulators, be it people who do it maliciously as they slowly break down the spirit of their counterpart or the people who take the sympathetic route.  The people who feign a constant state of depression and worthlessness because they know they will capture the eye of the person they desire the most, without any sort of recognition or care about the repercussions of their actions.  The people who do this have absolutely zero realization of the effects of their actions, nor do they care.  It's their own selfish desires they care about and so long as they are met, everything is hunky-dory.  This song is all about exposing those people, something I think we all want to do.  What's better than taking that moment to rip the mask off of something and show the world who they really are?  The most disturbing part of it all is I'm willing to bet in most cases, these people don't even realize what they're doing.  They're so oblivious to their own actions, they've managed to subconsciously convince themselves that what they're doing is perfectly fine.  What's worse than a villain who is self-aware?  A villain who thinks everything they're doing is good.  It's pathetic and it's a one way ticket to me losing any and all respect I may have had for you.  All these people do is suck the energy and optimism out of everyone around them without any sense of regret.  They demand all the attention, if they don't get it, they become a withering fool with no sense of hope.  Their constant state of demanding attention does nothing but bring others down.  Here's an idea, try improving yourself with your own motivation instead of leaching off those around you.  So you go ahead and bite the bullet, you be there for that person who demands it like a toddler throwing a hissy fit in Toys 'R Us when mommy won't buy them an action figure.  Then what?  They're happy for a day, if you're lucky, then back to that familiar state of solemn acceptance of their shitty life, rather than using your advice as motivation to do better, they treat it like a drug.  They get that high for the short moment that you're there, but then it wears off and they need more.  Call me an insensitive prick if you must, unaware of the complete situation, but I've formed my own opinion.  I will absolutely be there for the people I love, for the people who I think deserve it.  On the other hand?  Toxic people aren't worth it.  Once a lost cause, always a lost cause.
